A Couple Questions & A Couple Answers.
Are you young at heart, or an old soul? +I’m pretty sure I’m a good mixture of both. I like to do stupid, crazy things… go on adventures… have a party - you know, all that good stuff. But I also like to stay at home, clean the house, relax & read the newspaper - the actual news PAPER… I often daydream about the time I can just rest in my own home, maybe in a hammock in my backyard. Yes.. that’s the old soul part of me.
What makes someone a best friend? +All my best friends are real, hilarious, deep & fun. They’re my bf’s because they know how to go deep… but no how to be silly at the same time. My bf’s know how to listen & know when to interrupt. I love that!
What Christmas present do you remember the most? +My blue razor scooter. I wanted it SO bad and for some reason, I didn’t think I would get it. But… Santa came through that year. (Thanks Dad & Mom!)
Tell me about a movie/song/tv show/play/book that has changed your life. +”The Quest for Meekness And Quietness of Spirit” by Matthew Henry. It. Is. Amazing. And. Will. Rock. Your. World.
Name one physical feature that you like about yourself, and one you dislike. +I love my hair! And I dislike my hair! Imagine that. Haha. But seriously, I’m blessed with a good head of hair… but sometimes, it’s just hard to handle. So I guess that is why I dislike it.
Would you like to reconnect with any friends you’ve lost contact with? +There are a few people I can think of… but I am just grateful for who is in my life right now. I’m extremely blessed.
Name a movie that you knew would be terrible just from reading the title. +Mega Shark Versus the Giant Octopus. Really?
What holiday do you most look forward to? +Thanksgiving! I love the family being together.. and the fact that I can eat anything that day & not feel guilty about it. It’s a day of THANKS… I thank God for all the food I’m eating ;)
How is the relationship between you and your parents? +It’s amazing. It’s better than it’s ever been. I can talk to them. They can talk to me. Yes.. they’re parents. And yes, sometimes I’m the hardheaded daughter… But regardless of all that - we are good!
You’ve got the TV on, but you’re not really watching. What channel is the TV on? +The cooking channel :)
Name a song that never fails to make you happy. +Still Fly by Big Tymers. Cracks me up every time!
You know at least one person named Michael. Tell me about him. +Hah. Michael is my only brother. And as much as he drives me crazy sometimes … I love & adore the man! He’s a big teddy bear - full of love & ready to spread it to anyone he meets. Haha.
If you could pick anywhere to live the rest of your life, where would it be? +The house I’m in now. Seattle, WA. We’ve got a huge yard in the middle of the city - but we’re tucked away so it feels like we’re in the country. You can’t find that anymore.
Can money buy happiness? +Only for so long….
Where was your favorite place to go when you were a little kid? +The Seattle Children’s Museum. My dad would take me there at least once a week. Sometimes twice! I LOVED it!
Have you ever spent a night in the hospital? +Yep, when my sister Gloria was in labor with my nephew Amare!
Do you enjoy being with only one or two friends, or with a large group of people? +Honestly… I like a small group of friends. It’s not overwhelming.. and I don’t feel like I have to talk to every single person. I mean.. even if I am in a huge group.. I still don’t feel that way but in a small group, that pressure isn’t even there. haha.
Do you like the type of music your parents listen to? Do your parents like the type of music you listen to? +My parents music taste is a mixture of a lot of things. So I like it. They listen to a lot of gospel music - I get down with the gospel! :) And they like my music too…
Have you ever been bullied? Have you ever bullied anyone else? +People were intimidated by me. ;) Jk jk. I honestly went to a school where bullying wasn’t even a thing. I know - it sounds crazy. But there weren’t any problems with bullying. And yes - I went to a public school. It’s possibly people! And no.. I’m not a bully!
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? +Cupcakes. *Sigh.
If your partner wanted to wait until marriage before having sex, would you stay in that relationship? +”We’re on the same page my friend!”
Do you believe in a god? +Yes. I believe in a loving God!
Name a TV series you didn’t enjoy until after it ended. +American Idol. Haha. I seriously never watch the whole thing.. but once it ends - I’m all about THE American Idol. =/
If you could give up your car and never have to drive again, would you? +Nope. Not at all. I love my car & I love having a vehicle to get around in.
If you go back to one point in time to give advice to yourself, when would you go and what would you say? +I’d go back to my 9th grade year.. and tell myself, “The grass is NOT greener on the other side.” There is a lot behind that one sentence for me.. let’s talk about it sometime.
What’s your “quirkiest” habit? +I pinch my neck when I’m nervous.. haha. I know. It’s weird.
What is “normal?” Are you normal? +I don’t know what normal is.. haha. Sooo.. I’m probably not normal.
Is it possible for guys and girls to be just friends? +Yes. Why not? But once you start being “friends with benefits” - it. will. not. work. Just sayin.
When you were young, what would you dream you would be when you grew up? +I wanted to be a world famous fashion designer.
What gets you out of bed in the morning? +Breakfast. Haha. I love breakfast.. it’s my favorite meal of the day!
What’s the best route to your heart? +Buy me a coffee. Bring me a muffin from PCC. And then write me a handwritten letter. You’ve got my heart after those three things.

yes, tumblr. i have not forsaken you.
i actually quite miss you. so i’m back.
today, it’s cold & rainy… and i’m starting to believe that spring/summer is never going to come around. quite depressing, yes. so thank you to my tumblr feed, i’m feeling a bit happier. fun posts this morning that made me smile & all warm and fuzzy inside. hah.

VISION.
This morning I thought about how easy it is, for me, to forget my purpose.. to forget the vision for my life. And I got a little frustrated. {*disclaimer: it’s okay to get frustrated with your life. sometimes, a little fight & struggle are what pushes us towards a good thing.}
I got frustrated because, for one, I don’t like to feel like I’m not in control. And when you can’t remember where you want your life to headed - it’s tough.
AND … I don’t like feeling like I’ve wasted time.
But then my thoughts of frustration began to turn to thoughts of hope. Interesting how it all played out, really. In my fighting with my thoughts this morning, I was reminded that, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” I was reminded that I DO have a plan, a purpose & a vision. There IS good for my life and I’m NOT wasting time.
I have a hope that does not disappoint. And that’s the best promise I’ve ever been given.
So in all of that… when you forget or lose sight of your vision/plan/purpose .. remember in due time, you’ll be reminded of the good plans in store for you.
Cali is calling my name!
Flight booked for Cali on May 30th! B) So, so, SO happy about that!
Guessing Game.
So yesterday, I was driving home from work and I saw a trash can lid in the middle of the road. I thought that it would be nice of me to put the lid back on the trash can… no one wants a banged up trash can lid, right? Looked behind me to make sure no one was coming, got out of my car and got the lid. Ran across the street to put it on the trash can but realized that trash can already had the lid inside of it. Didn’t belong to that one. Saw a trash can without a lid on the other side of the street… ran there and it didn’t belong to that one either! And then I saw another trash can, but yet… it was on the other street. So here I am running back and forth trying to figure out which trash can this lid belongs to. I look behind my car.. and I was definitely holding up traffic. Haha. Finally found the trash can it belonged to, ran to my car like a little child waving sorry to all the other cars, and drove away feeling happy that I helped someone out.. and feeling silly that all these people were just watching me run back and forth across the street.
=) Do a good deed today.. and make someone laugh while doing it. Haha.
Oh dear..
Who decides to open up a martial arts studio on the second floor of a business building? A person who doesn’t care about the shop directly beneath them. From 6-9 pm, all I hear when I’m at work, are people running all over the place above it. It sounds like a herd of elephants most of the time. With crazy techno music.
My head is spinning.
Oh how I wish..
there were a way to print out my Tumblr archive and make a journal out of it. I went through most of my archive last night and smiled the whole way through. It may seem silly, but Tumblr has been with me through thick & thin. I’m grateful for my Tumblr.

tumblr, oh tumblr… it’s been quite a few moments since our last interaction. i’ve missed you.
i’ve been devoting most of my time to my new blog (find it here) and it’s been lovely. But I must say, I miss the simplicity of tumblr! anywho - my life in short, nowadays:
.still working at anthro! looking for a different job - receptionist, front desk, admin type job - … something that pays me a lot more so that i can actually save.
.wishing i could get paid to travel. any ideas, folks?
.i have been so excited for school {this fall}.. i can hardly stand it.
.tons of my friends are getting married! crazy. every month until august. i need a wedding gift budget.
& … yep. that’s most of my life right now. stay classy folks.
spring is around the corner..
& i’m excited about that. spring always brings a sense of newness and freshness. the color that starts to pop about the city… overtaking the drab of winter - it’s sweetness to my soul, i tell ya! i can’t wait for it…
the only downside, i have allergies. but hey, “nothing beautiful came without sacrifice” .. and i’ll take allergies as my suffering for some beauty.
Tumblr, I’ve neglected you.
Ah! I’ve been so busy.
…Okay. Actually, no I haven’t. I’ve just been preoccupied with Blogspot. I love Tumblr b/c it’s easy to post fun little things & veryyyyy user friendly. But Blogspot… it just makes me feel like an official blogger. Haha. Anyway, lots going on around these parts.
-Last day of working at the community center was yesterday
-Prepping for my sister’s baby shower
-Going to work at Tech Ready tomorrow! I thought I was done with Microsoft shows ;)
-Getting ready for a weekend getaway with my family for my momma’s bday!
-Wanting to plan a trip to Hawaii soon
& lots of other little things gettin’ worked through. My life feels like its on fast forward & it isn’t stopping anytime soon. Ah!
it can’t possibly be time for me to get ready for work..
